Why is cleaning plastic pallets so important?

How to prepare pallets for cleaning?
- Before turning on the washer or detergent, prepare the pallets and the workplace:
- Remove any remaining goods, labels and stretch film.
- Make sure there is no mechanical damage.
- Place the pallets in a stable position – preferably upright or in a special rack.
- Prepare cleaning products suitable for the industry (e.g. products approved for contact with food).
Methods for cleaning plastic pallets
1. Manual washing – good for small quantities of pallets
- Use warm water (40–60°C) and mild detergents.
- A pressure washer will help you reach all the nooks and crannies.
- Rinse thoroughly and leave to dry.
2. Automatic pallet washers
- The best solution for large plants.
- Pallets pass through a washing, rinsing and disinfecting chamber.
- The process is repeatable, fast and compliant with sanitary standards.
3. Steam cleaning
- The use of a steam cleaner is a great method for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
- Steam at a temperature of 120-150°C effectively removes bacteria and grease.
- It does not require chemicals, so it is environmentally friendly and safe.
