Industrial plastic tanks
Industrial plastic tanks (PE/HDPE) are used to store water, rainwater, drinking water, food media, wastewater and aqueous chemical solutions across a wide pH range. Paleteo offers vertical and horizontal tanks, with a manhole and fittings, in a wide range of capacities — from a few hundred to several thousand litres.
How to choose a tank?
The choice depends on three parameters: the intended medium (water, rainwater, drinking water, chemicals, food), the capacity and the orientation (vertical — space saving; horizontal — stability and transport). For drinking water and food media, tanks with approval (e.g. national hygiene approval) are selected. Chemical tanks are matched to the specific medium and pH range. Some models are reinforced with galvanised steel bands.
Tank types and capacities
| Type | Purpose | Capacity (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| Vertical | water, rainwater, chemicals | approx. 200–5000 l |
| Horizontal | transport and storage of liquids | approx. 200–3000 l |
| Drinking-water / food | drinking water, food media (approved) | depends on the model |
| Rainwater | rainwater harvesting | depends on the model |
Exact dimensions, capacity, manhole and fitting type and approvals are given in the product cards.
Material and equipment
The tanks are made of polyethylene (PE/HDPE) — resistant to chemicals, moisture and frost, light and recyclable. Versions are available with or without a manhole, with sockets, valves and galvanised steel bands increasing rigidity.
Applications
Tanks work well in agriculture, industry and water-and-wastewater management, as well as for rainwater harvesting and storing food and chemical media. For storing hazardous liquids they are used together with spill pallets.
Frequently asked questions
What material are industrial tanks made of?
Most often polyethylene (PE/HDPE) — resistant to chemicals, moisture and frost, light and easy to keep clean.
What tank capacities are available?
Approximately from a few hundred to several thousand litres (e.g. 200, 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000 l). Exact capacities are given in the product cards.
Is a tank suitable for drinking water?
For drinking water and food media, tanks with the appropriate approval are selected. Details are given in the product cards.
Vertical or horizontal tank?
A vertical tank saves space and suits stationary use; a horizontal one is more stable and more convenient for transporting liquids.
Can chemicals be stored in them?
Yes, the tank is matched to the specific medium and pH range. Hazardous liquids are stored using spill pallets.
Are the tanks suitable for drinking water and food? Yes — food-grade HDPE versions carry approval for food and drinking-water contact; for chemicals choose versions with suitable resistance.
Do you handle wholesale orders with delivery? Yes — for businesses; transport priced by quantity and destination, shipped from Poland.
