How to polish and clean stainless steel?

Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion because it is an alloy of iron with chromium or chromium and nickel. The popularity of stainless steel is constantly increasing due to its versatile applications - it can be heat-resistant, easy to work with, aesthetically pleasing, and recyclable.

How to clean stainless steel?

The easiest way is to buy a ready-made stainless steel cleaner, but it is not necessary. However, caution must be exercised. The protective coating against rust is exceptionally delicate, so it should not be scrubbed with wire brushes or stiff bristle brushes. Aggressive detergents and polishing powders can also cause damage. Therefore, natural methods are gaining popularity. A mixture of vinegar and water (20% vinegar, 80% water) or a combination of citric acid, baking soda, and water works well. It is worth noting that these methods are effective even for removing rust, deposits, or limescale. For greasy stains, rubbing them with a cloth soaked in alcohol can be helpful. When cleaning stainless steel, use soft brushes with natural or synthetic bristles, microfiber cloths, or gentle sponges. Remember to dry the cleaned surface thoroughly.

The first step is to sand it thoroughly with sandpaper, and then apply a polishing paste by rubbing it with a piece of felt.
