Containers for Meat Processing Plants

Food storage containers are an increasingly popular product available on the market. Today it is difficult to imagine transporting, for example, food products, but also many other goods, not only from the indicated industry, without the use of pallets and crates. Properly packed products, protected from contamination, are transported on pallets to stores, wholesalers or manufacturing plants. Due to the increasingly high sanitary requirements for storing food products, containers must meet even more advanced standards and quality norms, hence the great interest in specific products.
Plastic containers are rather inconspicuous articles that also require technological advancement, since they face a very responsible task of storing food products, and meat is one of the most demanding commodities. In addition, plastic containers must be ergonomically shaped, guaranteeing convenient handling and, above all, durable. So they should meet the professional requirements of the meat industry or even the pharmaceutical industry.
 
 
In what to transport meat products?
 
Proper packaging of meat products guarantees compliance with the highest quality standards. Transporting plastic containers on plastic pallets is comfortable and safe, and unloading the goods is quick and efficient, even with the use of electric forklifts. Plastic containers for meat are therefore one of the most widely used and efficient ways to store and transport products. The containers are made of temperature-resistant plastic, so they do not affect overheating or steaming of meat. In addition, they retain their original properties, and the composition of the plastic is not modified in any way. Otherwise, harmful plastic breakdown particles could penetrate the meat. This is why it is so important to use containers that are approved by the National Institute of Hygiene and certified for food contact.
 
 
How to store and transport meat?
 
Fresh or frozen meat, is a food product that is very susceptible to spoilage. It is certainly one of those goods that require storage according to established procedures. Meat containers made of approved plastic perfectly meet all sanitary requirements, which is why they are so widely used in the meat industry and in transportation. Thanks to the different dimensions of the containers, storage space can be significantly reduced. They have been adapted so that they can be stacked and gain valuable storage space in the process.

Standard plastic containers for transporting meat products are available on the market. Their main advantage is undoubtedly the high standard of storage of cold cuts, meat, as well as products that are the fruit of its processing. They were manufactured specifically for this purpose, as indicated by the professional design of E2 boxes. They are characterized by the ability to drain water from the edges to the outside, so the meat remains fresh for a long time, and the accumulating water does not affect the loss of its value.
It is worth pointing out that plastic is used on a large scale for the production of containers and is ahead of its technology of wooden crates, which have become less practical. Despite their natural character, they do not work well for meat transportation, as they thaw, require much more care for cleanliness and hygiene, and are not as durable. They also expect quite a bit of involvement related to necessary maintenance or necessary repairs to their delicate construction. Therefore, it is more cost-effective to invest in plastic containers, and even though they may be more expensive, they will repay the favor with a longer life.


Advantages of plastic containers
 
Plastic meat pallets and containers are, first of all, easy to maintain their hygienic character and full cleanliness. They are reusable, so they can be used hundreds of times without losing their original appearance. It should be noted that meat loses a lot of water during storage and transportation. It is not a dry product, so it is necessary to maintain the highest storage standards in order for it to be approved for consumption. Only plastic pallets can answer these needs, as they can be repeatedly washed and cleaned until the dirt is completely removed. Not infrequently, plastic containers are subjected to high-temperature cleaning, as this is the only way to neutralize any adverse bacteria or microorganisms.
Meat containers are durable and shatterproof, which definitely speeds up and facilitates the process of transportation and unloading. They are made of high-quality, resistant to mechanical damage plastic, which additionally has approvals allowing this material to come into contact with food. A very important advantage of the containers is their smooth surface, as possible impurities do not accumulate in the edges or on the rough structure, as in the case of other such products. The top priority of using containers and boxes is their food safety, which they definitely guarantee.

In the meat industry it is already a standard, for example, E2 plastic containers are mainly transported on H1 hygienic plastic pallets. We have also noticed an increase in the use of containers in the pharmaceutical industry due to the increasing sanitary requirements for production.(...) The steadily growing popularity of plastic pallets is due, among other things, to their advantages over traditional pallets.
